The American Small Business Coalition (ASBC) is a member-driven community consisting of small, medium and large companies, academic institutions and government organizations, participating in formal and experience-based education, information-sharing and networking activities. ASBC helps newcomers understand the nuances of doing business with government and industry organizations and connects veterans of this community with a highly-vetted network of trusted resources.
MEP places a premium on our membership in the ASBC, given our roots as a small business, which has grown so rapidly so quickly.
The American University of Afghanistan is dedicated to providing a world-class higher education to prepare students from Afghanistan and the region to be tomorrow’s leaders. It is the nation’s only independent, private, not-for-profit, non-sectarian, co-educational institution of higher learning. Students receive the best in an American-style and quality of education, and they do this in Afghanistan at a fraction of the cost of studying abroad. MEP sponsors scholarships for students there.
Association of the US Army (AUSA) supports all aspects of national security while advancing the interests of America's Army and the men and women who serve. It represents every American soldier by serving as the voice for all components of America's Army, fostering public support of the Army's role in national security, and providing professional education and information programs. As the premier voice for America's Soldiers, AUSA is a dedicated team committed to building the best professional and representative association for the world's best Army.
Given the priority MEP places on its service to the men and women of the Army, we are honored to belong to and support AUSA.
Chambers of Commerce serve as the voice of the diverse businesses they represent. Members in chambers of commerce include the family-owned business on the corner and the multinational company downtown. They advocate for a free-enterprise system where businesses flourish and their communities prosper.
MEP belongs to a variety of such groups, notably the Ohio and Afghan-American chambers.
The International Stability Operations Association (formerly the IPOA) is committed to raising the standards of the peace and stability operations industry to ensure sound and ethical professionalism and transparency in the conduct of international peacekeeping and post-conflict reconstruction activities. Member companies subscribe to the ISOA Code of Conduct, which represents a constructive effort toward better regulating private sector operations in conflict and post-conflict environments. High standards will both benefit the industry and serve the greater causes of peace, development, and human security.
Representing its commitment to this aspect of international development, MEP was the headline sponsor of ISOA's annual summit in October 2010.
Justice Services International (JSI) is an MEP-led joint venture with Explosive Ordnance Disposal Technology, and DECO, Inc. JSI is a mission focused company singularly created to provide criminal justice, law enforcement, and mission support personnel in support of Department of State and Department of Defense nation-building missions overseas.
JSI is an MEP-led joint venture, sharing office space with our company.
Military Intelligence Corps Association (MICA) provides a Military Intelligence professional organization as a medium for members to share ideas and experiences, and to continually upgrade the intelligence profession. The association encourages esprit de corps, broadens education and professionals, and helps build leaders in information operations.
MEP values its membership in MICA, given its strong contributions to intelligence support services for the US military. Every year, MEP co-hosts a golf tournament for MICA in the DC area.
National Defense Industrial Association (NDIA) is America’s leading defense industry association promoting national security. NDIA provides a legal and ethical forum for the exchange of information between industry and government on national security issues. Its members foster the development of innovative equipment, training, and support for the warfighters and first-responders.
Professional Services Council (PSC) is the national trade association of the government professional and technical services industry. PSC’s more than 330 member companies represent small, medium, and large businesses that provide federal agencies with services of all kinds, including information technology, engineering, logistics, facilities management, operations and maintenance, consulting, international development, scientific, social, environmental services, and more. Together, the association’s members employ hundreds of thousands of Americans in all 50 states.
A division of JSI, Protect & Serve America is an organization comprised of dedicated members of our nation’s law enforcement and criminal justice communities, active and retired, who are committed to serving their country through international peacekeeping efforts to bring democracy and the rule of law to post-conflict nations, and to assist in combating global terrorism to protect the homeland.

The United Nations Global Compact is a strategic policy initiative for businesses that are committed to aligning their operations and strategies with ten universally accepted principles in the areas of human rights, labor, environment and anti-corruption.
MEP affirms the four pillars of the UNGC (human rights, environmental responsibility, labor standards, and anti-corruption) and participates in the bi-annual communication on progress. In 2010, CEO Chris Taylor attended the UNGC Leaders Summit in New York.
Harvard Kennedy School's Carr Center for Human Rights Policy trains future leaders for careers in public service and to apply first-class research to the solution of public policy problems. Its research, teaching, and writing are guided by a commitment to make human rights principles central to the formulation of good public policy in United States and throughout the world. MEP values the Carr Center’s academic contribution to national defense, and has performed pro bono work on its Mass Atrocity Response Operations (MARO) Project.
